Dr. Amanda Miller

Even from a young age, Dr. Amanda Miller knew she would pursue a career as a dentist. “Dentistry allows me to care for the well-being of my patients, and equips me with the skills to make my patients feel better about their smiles and themselves.” Dr. Miller enjoys the challenges and rewards of daily practice and encourages an open forum with her patients.

Dr. Amanda Demsey

Dr. Amanda Demsey is originally from Kitchener, Ontario but happily calls Nova Scotia home after pursuing both her undergraduate and dental degrees at Dalhousie. Following graduation, she practiced in St. John’s, NL before returning to the Halifax area and joining the team at Nova Dental.

Dr. Tesia Rolle

Dr. Tesia Rolle was born in Vancouver, B.C. and raised between Nassau, The Bahamas and Halifax, NS. She pursued her post-secondary education at Dalhousie University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in International Development Studies, a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree.

Dr. Karen Furlong

Dr. Karen Furlong began practicing at Nova Dental upon graduation from Dalhousie Dental School in 1988. Over the past 24 years, she has helped direct our office’s growth in the community and was extremely involved with the planning of our new office.

Dr. Emily Porskamp

As far back as Emily can remember visiting the dentist herself, she knew she wanted to become a dentist. Growing up in a small town in rural Nova Scotia, Emily completed her Biology degree at Acadia University, and immediately turned her focus to the Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Dalhousie University in Halifax

Dr. Jasmeen Kaur

Dr. Kaur was born and raised in India. She obtained her Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from India in 2003. Dr. Kaur moved to Canada with her family in 2010 and pursued the qualification process for internationally trained dentists in Canada. She obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Faculty of Dentistry, Dalhousie University, in 2019. Following her DDS, she completed a General Practice Residency (GPR) in 2020 at Dalhousie.
